Building the right team in Seven Deadly Sins Origin can make a huge difference. The wrong lineup and you'll struggle even on basic content. The right one and enemies just melt. This guide breaks down the best team comps for every element so you know exactly who to run and why.
Best F2P Team
If you're just starting out, this is the team you want. All these characters are easy to get early on, Guila comes from the login event and the rest are available right from the start. No pulling required.

| Guila | Tristan | Tioreh | Slater |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() |
Here's why this team works so well together:
- Tristan is the backbone. His weapon passive stacks a fire damage buff up to 25% for the whole team (5% per stack, 5 stacks max). He also reduces enemy fire resistance, which sets up the next person nicely.
- Tioreh gives the whole team +8% critical chance whenever enemies have lowered fire resistance — which Tristan is constantly triggering. Free crit, basically.
- Guila is your main damage dealer. Build up her Impulse Stacks to increase crit chance in Demon Form, then pop her Ultimate for 30 seconds of high damage and burn. Her rapier also charges Burst Gauge faster on burned enemies.
- Slater rounds out the team as a fire character who benefits from all the buffs above. His passive boosts his own damage on enemies affected by fire burst, so he's still doing meaningful damage even without a direct support role.
For gear, don't overthink it. Basic blue weapons are totally fine at this stage. Focus on clearing story content and exploring the world, better gear will come naturally.
Best Holy Team

| King | Elaine | Mannie | Hendrickson |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() |
In this comp, King is the star. Every time he attacks, he builds up Bloom Stacks that increase his own Attack. The goal is to use Elaine and Mannie to activate skills and fill resources, then switch to King so he can keep attacking and stacking Bloom. Simple but effective loop.
Best Darkness Team

| Meliodas | Bug | Tioreh | Tristan |

Darkness is the most unique element in 7DS Origin because it can't build Burst Gauge on its own. You have to first activate a different element's Burst, then follow up with a Darkness attack to overwrite it. That's the whole mechanic.
Here's how this team pulls it off:
- Tristan and Tioreh activate a Fire Burst first.
- Once that's running, swap to a Darkness character to overwrite it and enter Darkness Burst.
- Bug's Grimoire passive boosts Darkness damage, and the Curse debuff further amplifies Meliodas's output.
- Meliodas then goes in as the main damage dealer with everything stacked in his favor.
Best Fire Team

| Guila | Tristan | Tioreh | Hendrickson |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() |
This is one of the strongest early game setups and a great starting point if you're new. Here's how it works:
- Tristan reduces enemy fire resistance and stacks a 25% fire damage buff for the whole team. He's doing a lot of work in the background.
- Tioreh boosts the team's critical chance by 8% whenever enemies have lowered fire resistance — which Tristan constantly triggers.
- Guila is your main damage dealer. Build up her Impulse Stacks, then pop her Ultimate to enter Demon Form and go to town. Her rapier also charges her Burst Gauge faster when hitting burned enemies.
- Hendrickson keeps everyone alive with his healing area Ultimate and a Defense buff on top. He also does Magic Recovery when you swap to him, making him useful even off the field.
Best Wind Team

| Elaine | Tristan | Howzer | Hendrickson |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() |
Wind's gameplan is all about critical damage during Burst. Here's the flow:
- Get Burst going with Tristan, then immediately swap to Elaine to start dealing damage.
- Before the Burst, use Howzer's Ultimate — it boosts critical damage for all Wind characters, so timing it right before a Burst means massive numbers.
- Pro tip: Apply Bleed with Tristan first, then swap to Howzer and hit the Special Attack. This quickly lowers the enemy's Crit Resistance, which sets Elaine up for even bigger crits.
Best Cold Team

| Mannie | Jericho | Slater | Hendrickson |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() |
Mannie hits incredibly hard during Cold Burst, especially if you invest in her Crit Chance through gear. The rotation is simple, trigger Burst with Jericho, then spam Mannie's Frost Strike Normal Skill.
Worth knowing about Slater: His Axe version applies Bleed and Deep Wound. Deep Wound significantly increases damage taken, and since it has no element restriction, he fits into almost any team.
Best Earth Team

| Diane | Elaine | King | Hendrickson |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() |
Earth's identity is big damage during Earth Burst with solid defense to back it up. Here's what each character brings:
- Diane is the main damage dealer and absolutely shines when Earth Burst is active.
- Elaine lowers the enemy's Earth Burst Resistance with her Special Attack, helping you trigger Burst earlier than normal.
- King gives the whole team an Attack buff and has a Magic Recovery Ultimate — use it on cooldown, no need to hold it.
- Hendrickson handles healing and shields so the team stays healthy through longer fights.
Best Lightning Team

| Drake | Gilthunder | Slater | Hendrickson |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() |
Drake is a Burst-hungry DPS. His damage really kicks in once Burst is active and debuffs are stacked on the enemy. The strategy:
- Apply Shock to the enemy using a Tag Skill at the start of the fight.
- Have Gilthunder attack shocked enemies — he gains bonus Burst Gauge this way. Extend Shock with his Special Attack.
- Let Slater stack debuffs like Bleed and Deep Wound.
- Swap to Drake during Burst and watch the damage fly.
Final Thoughts
Every element in 7DS Origin has a clear identity and a reliable team built around it. Whatever element clicks for you, make sure your supports actually complement your main DPS, random teams will always underperform compared to ones built with synergy in mind. Pick a comp, learn the rotation, and the game gets a lot more fun.
